The Israeli occupation army at dawn Tuesday put its forces on high alert in the occupied West Bank and stormed towns in southern Nablus following shooting incidents in the illegal settlements of Rehelim and Yitzhar.
According to local sources a large number of Israeli troops aboard military vehicles encircled Qabalan town after Palestinians aboard a motorcycle opened fire at Rehelim settlement and fled to the town.
Military reinforcement were also sent to Yitzhar settlement and its vicinity after hearing gunshots.
Afterwards the Israeli army closed all entrances and checkpoints leading to Nablus city.
Israeli military patrols were also seen entering Beit Dajan town east of Nablus and spreading on the eastern plain of the town.
