Palestinian gunmen on Friday night opened fire at an Israeli military force near the illegal settlement of Beit El north of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank.
According to the Hebrew media the gunmen were aboard a speeding car when they shot at Israeli soldiers stationed near the settlement. No casualties have been reported.
Consequently the Israeli occupation army dispatched reinforcements to the area and launched a manhunt for the shooters.
A military checkpoint was also set up on the main road in the area where soldiers intercepted Palestinian cars for security check.
Local sources reported that soldiers stormed a gas station and some nearby businesses and seized security camera recordings.
Skirmishes also took place last night between local young men and Israeli soldiers at the northern entrance to Bireh city.
