Director of holy al-Aqsa Mosque Sheikh Omar Kiswani warned of the increasing Israeli assaults at the site saying 1124 Israeli settlers stormed the mosque on Thursday.
Speaking with PIC Kiswani said 924 Israeli settlers forced their way into al-Aqsa Mosque in the morning shift and 210 others showed up at the site in the afternoon. A member of Israel’s Antiquity Authority and three intelligence officers also broke into the mosque.
Al-Kiswani said heavily-armed Israeli police troops have been deployed across the mosque stirring the anger of the peaceful Muslim worshipers.
He added that extremist Israelis intensified assaults at the site to mark Jewish holidays.
He railed against the provocative rituals and sacrilegious ceremonies held by fanatic Israeli settlers at the site and the crackdowns carried out by Israeli police against young Muslim worshipers and guards at al-Aqsa.
Over recent days extremist Israeli settlers have stepped up break-ins at al-Aqsa Mosque on the occasion of the Jewish Sukkot holiday.
