Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Monday said that his country will protect Jerusalem from Israeli invaders who carry out state terror against the Palestinians.
Speaking at a dinner organized by Turken foundation in New York city Erdoğan said that many of the countries bragging about democracy do not say a word about the brutal killing of Palestinian civilians at the hands of Israeli forces.
Erdoğan’s speech comes as the US is attempting to liquidate the Palestinian cause following its recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
In another context the Turkish president said that his country would continue to increase the number of safe zones within Syria to include the east of the Euphrates River.
He also criticized the United Nations Security Council for serving the interests of “certain powers” rather than working to ensure global peace and stability.
