The Israeli occupation police on Wednesday evening arrested two Palestinian young men during a protest against a normalization conference in Jerusalem and banned a child from entering his home in Silwan for several days.
According to local sources the Israeli police arrested two young men identified as Amer al-Balbisi and Ihab Shalabi during a protest organized against a normalization conference that was slated to take place in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood north of the Old City of Jerusalem.
This happened after a group of Jerusalemite young men managed to rally in the area of the conference before it kicked off and chanted slogans against the Israeli occupation.
Consequently police forces stormed the area chased the young protesters and blocked the main road in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.
The tension prevented the Israeli authorities from allowing the conference to take place in the area.
In a separate incident the Israeli police handed a Palestinian child called Ibrahim Jaber from Silwan in Jerusalem an order banning his entry to his neighborhood and home for 15 days.
