A Palestinian child on Saturday evening was struck with bullet fire unleashed by Israeli forces toward non-violent protesters who joined a peaceful anti-settlement demonstration in the village of Kafr Qaddoum east of Qalqilia.
Eight-year-old Mo’men Shteiwi was hit with rubber bullets in the head. He was admitted into Rafidia hospital in Nablus so as to be treated for the Israeli-inflicted wounds.
Over years the Palestinians of Qafr Qaddoum a peaceful village near Qalqilya in the northern occupied West Bank decided to rise up against the Israeli military’s closure of a vital and historical access road which has been closed by the occupation forces for nearly 15 years.
The Israeli military’s reaction to the peaceful protests usually ends up violent. The army fires tear gas and rubber-coated metal bullets at the protesters and homes in the village causing many suffocation and injuries. Raids are also conducted to detain activists.
