The municipality of the French city of Dunkirk has strongly denounced Israel’s recent attacks on the Gaza Strip which killed and injured many civilians expressing its regret for the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the besieged enclave.
This came in response to a letter sent by the Union of Gaza Municipalities to several European twin towns and sister cities as well as friendly international institutions which were briefed on Israel’s crimes and violations against Gaza.
The French municipality which has twinning relations with the Gaza municipality expressed its solidarity with the Palestinian people especially in the embattled Strip who suffer from Israel’s aggressive practices.
The municipality denounced the international silence on what is happening to the civilians in Gaza and hoped that the appeals launched by the Union of Gaza Municipalities would receive a response from the international community and other European municipalities.
