Member of Hamas’s political bureau Husam Badran has strongly denounced the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) for threatening to arrest Palestinian female students from the Islamic Bloc because of their involvement in on-campus activities.
“The occupation’s targeting of Palestinian women which has recently escalated especially in al-Khalil province clearly reflects the role played by Palestinian women in serving the liberation project” Badran said in a press release on Monday.
“The organized crime which the occupation practices against our people including children women youths and elderly will only increase our determination to get rid of this occupation and its injustice” he added.
The Hamas official emphasized that “the steadfastness and fortitude of the Palestinian woman will remain unbreakable and Israeli threats and crimes cannot dissuade her from marching for liberation.”
Several female students from the Islamic Bloc the student wing of Hamas have recently received arrest threats from Israeli military and security authorities if they continued to carry out student-related activities at their universities in the West Bank.
