Hundreds of Palestinians held Friday’s noon prayer in Khan al-Ahmar village east of Occupied Jerusalem in protest at Israeli attempts to displace the residents and demolish their village.
The imam stressed Palestinians’ commitment to their land and holy sites saying Israel’s ethnic cleansing schemes against Khan al-Ahmar community are a prelude to the notorious US “deal of the century.”
He called on the Palestinians to combine forces in the face of such Israeli schemes.
Palestinians have been holding regular support rallies at the village since Israel announced last month its intention to demolish it in order to build a Jewish settlement on its ruins.
A rally was also held on a settlement bypass road near Khan al-Ahmar to protest Israel’s arbitrary demolition policy.
