A Palestinian child was killed by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) while dozens of Palestinians were injured at dawn Monday during clashes in Dheisheh refugee camp in Bethlehem.
A medical source reported that Arkan Mezher 15 was killed and a number of Palestinian citizens were injured when the IOF stormed the camp amid heavy firing of live ammunition and teargas canisters.
Violent clashes erupted in the camp during which Mezher was shot by the IOF before being transferred to a local hospital and pronounced dead eyewitnesses said.
A local source said that the IOF raided a number of houses in the camp and arrested two youths identified as Mohammed Abu Ayyash and Jamal al-Sar’awi.
Dozens of Palestinian citizens in Dheisheh staged a spontaneous march toward the family house of Arkan Mezher chanting slogans condemning the Israeli crimes.
Meanwhile a Palestinian youth in Gaza at dawn succumbed to wounds he sustained a few weeks ago while taking part in the Great March of Return.
The PIC reporter said that Karam Arafat 26 on 8th June was hit with a teargas canister in the head east of Khan Younis.
The number of Palestinian citizens killed since the start of Gaza’s Great March of Return on 30th March has increased to 155.
According to human rights sources IOF soldiers are still detaining the bodies of 8 Gaza martyrs who were killed near the border fence east of the Gaza Strip.
