The Hamas Movement said on Saturday that there are several Palestinian citizens being detained illegally in the jails of the Palestinian Authority (PA) in the West Bank adding that the PA security forces also kidnapped a child recently.
According to a statement released by Hamas 15-year-old Baraa Nadir Nassar the son of a senior Islamic Jihad official was kidnapped by the PA intelligence agency a few days ago.
Several university students from the Islamic Bloc the student wing of Hamas have been held for several days by the PA security apparatuses in Ramallah.
The detainees were identified as Owais al-Awri Hamza Abu Qari Othman Isam and Yehya Mawqidi.
Two other young men have also been in PA jails with no guilt for days. They are Zakariya Mujahed and Tamer Mujahed.
Another prisoner called Diya Shahada has been on hunger strike for over seven days in protest at his detention illegally by the PA security authorities in Nablus.
