A report by the Temple of Solomon extremist movement stated that the number of Israeli settlers who broke into al-Aqsa Mosque since the beginning of the current Hebrew year has exceeded 22383 which is an unprecedented number since 1967.
According to the report the silence which has been prevailing in Occupied Jerusalem and the Old City during the current year had encouraged many Israelis to frequent the Muslims’ holy site.
Haaretz Israeli newspaper elaborated that some of the religious Jewish groups changed their opinion regarding allowing settlers to enter the plazas of the holy shrine for many reasons; the most prominent is pressure being practiced by Israeli leaders and extremist parties.
