Palestinian lawmaker Nayef al-Rajoub has strongly denounced the frenzied Israeli arrest campaign that has targeted young people women and children in the West Bank particularly in al-Khalil describing it as “another Israeli crime against humanity.”
In press remarks on Tuesday MP Rajoub said “there is an organized campaign targeting al-Khalil which has been ongoing for about a week and aiming to intimidate Palestinian citizens and prevent any move in the West Bank to copy Gaza protest experience.”
“The occupation state is afraid of an uprising in the West Bank and any youth moves in this regard so it has launched proactive campaigns to prevent any events there and such policy is not new but it will not work out with our people” he added.
He also accused the Israeli occupation state of targeting in particular journalists and public figures to prevent them from exposing its violations in the West Bank.
