Scores of Australian citizens participated in a protest rally staged on Saturday in Melbourne city to condemn Israel’s recent massacre in the Gaza Strip.
Australians from different ethnicities participated in the demonstration which was organized by a local solidarity group outside the State Library in central Melbourne.
The participants chanted slogans and carried placards denouncing the Israeli carnage of unarmed protesters on Gaza border last Monday May 14 and the international passivity towards what happened on that day.
As Israeli and US officials were celebrating the opening of the US embassy in Occupied Jerusalem Israeli army snipers last Monday cold-bloodedly killed and wounded hundreds of Gaza protesters rallying near the border fence.
64 protesters were killed and 3244 others suffered injuries when soldiers fired a hail of bullets and tear gas grenades at them.
