The Arab MK in Israeli Knesset Jamal Zahalqa denounced Israeli police interrogating Sheikh Ekrema Sabri Head of the Higher Islamic Committee and al-Aqsa Mosque Preacher.
In a statement on Saturday Zahalqa also condemned calling Sheikh Sabri provocative and vengeful as well as preventing him from travel.
He hailed Sabri’s national standings of defending the Palestinian people and the holy places and praised him for confronting Israeli Judaization plans.
MK Zahalqa opined that Israeli offensive measures against Sabri are part of Israeli arbitrary practices against Palestinian leaders in Occupied Jerusalem. The last of which included banning three MPs in the Palestinian Legislative Council along with Jerusalem Affairs Former Minister from entering the holy city.
