50 Palestinians were killed by the Israeli occupation forces since the launch of the Great March of Return protests on March 30 along Gaza’s borders the Palestinian Health Ministry reported on Thursday.
Spokesperson for the Gaza-based Palestinian Health Ministry Ashraf al-Qidrah said 50 Palestinians were fatally shot by the occupation army during the Great March of Return five among whom have had their bodies seized by the Israeli authorities.
24 protesters have meanwhile undergone limb amputation among 6793 Palestinians injured during the march.
The Great March of Return kick-started on March 30 has been staged along Gaza’s borderland near the Israeli-made fence separating the enclave from territories occupied in 1948. Thousands have taken to the streets speaking up for the refugees’ right to return to their motherland—Palestine.
The protests are slated to reach a zenith on May 15 marking the notorious Palestinian Nakba Day when thousands of Palestinians had forcibly been displaced from their homes and lands.
