The Israeli Central Court in Occupied Jerusalem on Wednesday sentenced a Palestinian detainee to 35 months in jail.
A PIC news correspondent said 40-year-old Nehad Zugheir from Jerusalem’s Old City received a 35-month prison-term and a bail of 10000 shekels on charges of serving as a leading member of the Youth Movement to Defend al-Aqsa Mosque.
Zugheir was kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces on June 5 2017 on his way back home from minor pilgrimage (Umrah) in Saudi Arabia. He had been made to endure intensive investigation in the cells of the Mascoubiya dungeon.
Zugheir father of four children is a sports coach at Burj al-Laqlaq Institution. He is currently incarcerated in the Gilboa prison.
