Israeli occupation authorities handed over notifications on Saturday to confiscate 42 dunums of land in al-Khader town to the south of Bethlehem city in the southern West Bank.
Ahmad Salah coordinator of the Anti-Settlement Committee in the town said in a press statement that Israeli forces notified the inhabitants about their intention to confiscate 42 dunums owned by Salah and Sebaih families for unreleased security reasons.
The Israeli forces also notified a man from al-Khader about the intention to demolish a retaining wall he had built in Kherbet Alia area in the town.
He also pointed out that over the past years Israel has used a number of legal and bureaucratic procedures in order to appropriate West Bank lands with the primary objective of establishing settlements and providing land reserves for them.
