The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Tuesday morning closed agricultural roads in the villages of Rantis and Um Safa west of Ramallah and al-Mazra’a al-Gharbiya north of the city.
Head of Rantis village council Hasan Wahdan said that Israeli bulldozers closed and razed an agricultural road in the village under the escort of IOF soldiers.
Wahdan told Quds Press that the road is 1500 meters long and located in the eastern area of Rantis noting that Palestinian citizens were denied access to their farmlands in the area.
He added that the garbage trucks belonging to Rantis village council usually use this road to reach the village’s waste dump.
In the same context the IOF closed other roads in al-Mazra’a al-Gharbiya and Um Safa villages. Local sources affirmed that the targeted roads were previously paved by Israeli settlers who were planning seize more Palestinian lands there.
