Several Palestinians were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at daybreak Thursday in abduction sweeps rocking the West Bank.
Seven Israeli military vehicles rolled into Jenin’s southern town of Qabatiya in the northern occupied West Bank and kidnapped three Palestinian young men.
The IOF also cordoned off residential neighborhoods and sealed off the Qabatiya-Zababda thoroughfare with a military checkpoint.
At the same time the occupation forces stormed al-Far’a refugee camp to the northeast of Nablus province and kidnapped two Palestinian youths. Another was kidnapped by the IOF from al-Dahiya neighborhood.
Palestinian young man Abdul Salam Jawabra was also kidnapped by the IOF from the Arroub refugee camp north of al-Khalil province. Young man Shadi al-Haroub was kidnapped from Deir Samet village south of al-Khalil.
The campaign culminated in the abduction of youngster Nassar Dahbour from his family home in Qalqilya’s eastern town of Azzoun. At least seven Palestinian families have had their homes ravaged in the assault.
Meanwhile fierce clashes flared up in al-Duheisheh refugee camp southeast of Bethlehem after heavily-armed Israeli patrols broke into the area and ransacked civilian homes. Ex-prisoner Mohamed al-Seifi was summoned to questioning in the assault a few days after he had been released.
