12 Palestinians arrested in West Bank campaigns

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Monday arrested 12 Palestinians including Hamas officials during raid campaigns launched in the West Bank.

Local sources told the PIC reporter that the IOF arrested the Hamas leader Abduljabbar Jarrar 53 an ex-prisoner who previously spent 12 years in Israeli jails after raiding and searching his house in Jenin.

The IOF further raided the house of the former Minister of Palestinian Prisoners Affairs Wasfi Kabha who was released from Israeli jails only two months ago and wreaked havoc on it.

Kabha said that a large Israeli military force broke into his house in al-Basateen neighborhood in Jenin locked his family in a one room and interrogated him and his son Osama for over an hour.

Meanwhile local sources told the PIC reporter that the IOF stormed Salem town east of Nablus searched a number of Palestinian houses arrested the Hamas leader and ex-prisoner Awadallah Ishtiyeh and left a summons for his brother Adam to appear before the Israeli intelligence for interrogation.

Three other Palestinians were abducted during Nablus raids. Other arrests and campaigns were reported in Qalqilya and Jerusalem.
