Palestinian lawmaker Fathi al-Qarawi said that the great marches of return in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank staggered and confused the Israeli occupation army and some regional countries which “are racing to have relations with Israel.”
“The marches of return led by the courageous Palestinian youth has restored momentum to the Palestinian cause and brought it to the fore after Arab leaders made it an object for compromises and conspiracies” Qarawi stated in a press release on Saturday.
The lawmaker stressed the need for an active international role towards the Palestinian cause especially with regard to the issues of refugees and Gaza blockade.
He also accused Palestinian Authority media outlets of showing the people in the West Bank as indifferent to what happens in Gaza expressing his belief that the Palestinians there are behind their fellow citizens in Gaza despite the tight security grip.
He called on the PA leadership stop provoking the Palestinian people and to return to the bosom of its own people who have “the winning card.”
