A Palestinian was killed and another injured early Friday by Israeli artillery shelling east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
A medical source told the PIC reporter that a farmer identified as Omar Sammour 27 was killed and another was seriously injured by Israeli tank fire east of Abasan town in Khan Younis.
The PIC reporter said that the Israeli tanks stationed near Gaza’s eastern border fence fired two missiles at Palestinian farmers while they were working in their lands.
Spokesman for Gaza’s Ministry of Health Ashraf al-Qedra told Quds Press that three Palestinians were injured on Thursday evening after being shot by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) east of Khan Younis.
A local source reported that the IOF stationed east of Khuza’a town heavily opened fire at a group of Palestinians who were erecting tents in preparation for the Great March of Return near the border fence.
These attacks came a few hours before the launch of the Great March of Return along Gaza’s eastern borderline with the 1948 occupied Palestinian territories to mark the Palestinian Land Day.
