Two security men killed during arrest of wanted attackers

Two security men in Gaza were killed on Thursday in a clash with a group of men suspected of carrying out the bombing attack on the motorcade of Palestinian Authority premier Rami al-Hamdallah in northern Gaza ten days ago.

Two of the suspects who opened fire at the security force were also killed in the exchange of fire while a third was wounded.

The interior ministry in Gaza issued a statement on the incident saying that it managed to pinpoint the place where the three suspects were hiding and encircled their hideout and asked them to give up but they opened fire at the security forces killing two of them.

It said that the security forces responded to the source of fire and the prime suspect Anas Abu Khousa and his aide Abdulhadi al-Ashhab were killed while another was injured and hospitalized.

Iyad al-Bozom the ministry’s spokesman said that a report was sent to al-Hamdallah on the investigations and findings in his motorcade bombing incident.
