Child among 5 Palestinians sentenced to imprisonment in Israeli jail

Israel’s Ofer military court sentenced five Palestinian young men from the southern occupied West Bank province of Bethlehem to prison-terms and bails on allegations of involvement in anti-occupation activities.

The Ofer court issued a verdict ordering the imprisonment of 15-year-old Palestinian child Raed Umeira for 22 months in Israeli dungeons. A bail of 4000 shekels was also imposed on the minor.

The same court further ruled that Basem Da’amsa be jailed for 34 months and pay a fine of 10000 shekels and that young man Ibrahim Muslet be held for two years in jail and pay a bail of 4000 shekels.

Ibrahim Musalma also received a prison-term of two years and a fine of 2000 shekels.

A fine of 3000 shekels was also slapped by the Israeli court against the Palestinian teen Mahmoud Mahdi who has been held in Israeli detention centers for three weeks running. The occupation authorities said he will only be released if his family pays the required sum.
