IOF prevents students from going to school near Nablus

Wednesday 28-February-2018

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Wednesday morning prevented Palestinian students from going to their school in al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya village south of Nablus city.

Media official at the Nablus Directorate of Education Anwar Dawabsheh told the PIC reporter that the IOF barred over 200 students from entering their school in the village.

Dawabsheh explained that the IOF soldiers were deployed in large numbers near the school’s main gate and prevented the students from reaching it under the pretext that they had thrown stones at IOF patrols and settlers’ vehicles.

He added that the students and their families organized a protest near the school in the presence of the head of the Nablus Directorate of Education noting that the IOF soldiers attacked them with tear gas canisters.
