The Palestinian forum In Britain (PFB) strongly condemns the decision made by the Israeli government to Impose Tax on Church properties in Jerusalem.
The PFB said in a statement on Tuesday “This action is considered an attack on the rights of Christians but also an attack on Christian history in the Land of Palestine.”
“This vulgar action is also a violation of International law (The protection of religious freedom and respecting the religiously holy and historical sites) the statement went on.
The PFB expresses its support of the closure of the Church of Holy Sepulchre in protest to such a discriminatory decision.
Prayer continues at the doors and in the square outside while this strike continues until the government decides to step back from this decision the PFB said and urged the international community to stand strongly against the oppressive occupational force that insists on violating international law.
The forum also asks the British government to immediately interfere for the sake of the rights of Christians in Palestine and for the protection of Church properties.
