Thousands of Palestinians marched on Sunday in the funeral procession of slain Salem Sabah and Abdullah Abu Sheikha killed overnight Saturday in an Israeli offensive on the enclave.
The funeral procession kicked off from Abdul Rahman Mosque in Rafah’s eastern neighborhood of al-Jenina on way to al-Shuhadaa Cemetery.
Sabah and Abu Sheikha both aged 17 breathed their last after the Israeli occupation military targeted a group of Gazan youths near Rafah’s eastern borders with randomly-unleashed spates of machinegun fire. At least two more youths were left wounded.
Ambulances evacuated the wounded youths but failed to remove the bodies of the dead youngsters at nightfall. The two bodies were recovered at daybreak Sunday.
