Charity organizations in Rafah governorate south of Gaza Strip staged on Thursday a sit-in in protest at the Israeli ongoing siege on Gaza Strip as part of “Save Gaza” campaign.
Nabil Juma representative of the charities said that poverty rate in Gaza mounted to 80% including 65% under poverty line. The unemployment rate also jumped to 50% with over half of the percentage of the youth he highlighted.
Juma pointed out that over 13000 patients of cancer in the coastal enclave do not have medications. Moreover 90% of drinking water in Gaza is polluted he said.
