Eye-witnesses have sounded alarm bells over the dramatic increase in Israel’s population growth in Alei Zahav settlement outpost west of Salfit province.
The witnesses said Israeli bulldozers have leveled Palestinian cultivated lands in Khilet al-Madhhar west of Kafr al-Dik town to expand the aforementioned settlement.
Researcher Khaled Maali said the number of Israeli settlers in the area has seen a dramatic upsurge in 2017.
He added that official figures kept record of a population growth rate of up to 24.5% believed to be the highest in 2017.
Maali also said an Israeli settlement outpost near the Dead Sea comes in the second place with a growth rate of 20.2% according to data by the Central Bureau of Statistics.
