Dozens of Israeli fanatic settlers escorted by police troops broke into Jerusalem’s holy al-Aqsa Mosque on Thursday.
The break-in comes hours after Israeli fanatic groups called for stepping up mass break-ins at Muslims’ holy al-Aqsa Mosque allegedly in response to the violation of the sanctity of the temple mount by the Muslim worshipers and guards at al-Aqsa.
Heavily armed Israeli police troops have been stationed at the site since the early morning hours to protect the Israeli settlers.
At the same time the peaceful Muslim worshipers have been subjected to tough crackdowns and restrictions by the Israeli police near the main entrances to the site. Several worshipers have been searched and dozens more have had their IDs seized while attempting to enter al-Aqsa to perform their daily prayers.
