Israeli fanatic groups called for stepping up mass break-ins at Muslims’ holy al-Aqsa Mosque at the same time as dozens of Israeli vandals stormed the holy site on Wednesday morning.
Reporting from Occupied Jerusalem a PIC news correspondent said dozens of Israeli fanatic settlers escorted by police troops broke into the holy al-Aqsa Mosque via the Maghareba Gate at the early morning hours.
A statement by Israel’s alleged temple mount organizations claimed Thursday’s projected break-in will be staged in response to the violation of the sanctity of the temple mount by the Muslim worshipers and guards at al-Aqsa.
Public Relations chief at the Islamic Awqaf (Endowment) Department Firas al-Dabes said the Israeli police closed off the Maghareba Gate at 10:30 a.m. after 43 extremist settlers showed up at the site and defiled its plazas.
Heavily armed Israeli police troops have been stationed at the site since 07:00 a.m. to protect the Israeli settlers.
At the same time the peaceful Muslim worshipers have been subjected to tough crackdowns and restrictions by the Israeli police near the main entrances to the site. Several worshipers have been searched and dozens more have had their IDs seized while attempting to enter al-Aqsa to perform their daily prayers.
