The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) tightened over 2017 their restrictions against Palestinian MPs arresting 14 of them including three women rights sources revealed.
Palestine Center for Prisoners’ Studies affirmed that Israel continued since 2006 targeting members of Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) arresting 60 of them.
14 PMs were detained over 2017 five of them were recently released while 12 are still held behind Israeli bars.
The arrest of Palestinian MPs is a political measure par excellence and a direct violation to international laws and conventions the center said.
Israel refuses to stop targeting PLC members despite the international growing appeals the center added.
Over 2017 Israel arrested also the Palestinian former minister Wasfi Qubaha only one month after his last release knowing that he spent more than ten years in Israeli jails.
