Settlers destroy olive trees in Huwara town near Nablus

Fanatic Jewish settlers on Saturday damaged dozens of Palestinian olive trees in Huwara town south of Nablus city in the northern West Bank.

The Palestinian activist Ghassan Daghlas said that a large group of settlers of Yitzhar nearby settlement over 150 men attacked al-Luhuf area in the town and caused damage to dozens of olive trees.

The Palestinian inhabitants rushed to the area and confronted settlers resulting in clashes between the youth and Israeli occupation forces who offered protection to the attacking extremist settlers.

Over 100 olive trees were damaged or cut by electric saws Daghlas pointed out.
