Raging clashes with Israeli army rock West Bank

Friday 12-January-2018

A round of fierce clashes burst out at daybreak Friday after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stormed West Bank provinces and attacked civilians.

Violent clashes flared up shortly after the IOF stormed Nablus’s western outskirts as part of a manhunt chasing down the perpetrator of an anti-occupation attack which left an extremist Israeli rabbi dead three days ago.

The IOF ransacked Palestinian shops and seized surveillance cameras.

The occupation patrols attacked the anti-occupation protesters with rubber bullets and teargas grenades.

The IOF further stormed Tel town southwest of Nablus and kidnapped the young man Muadh Reihan aged 30 after they ordered him to open his shop and seized its cameras.

In the meantime a spying balloon kept hovering over the town.

A Palestinian young man was injured with rubber bullets in his leg moments after the occupation forces showed up in Rafidia neighborhood.

At the same time dozens of Israeli soldiers broke into al-Arroub refugee camp in al-Khalil and targeted Palestinian protesters with live rounds.

The locals responded to the assault by throwing Molotov cocktails toward the occupation patrols.

Overnight the IOF sealed off Beit Einoun access road north of al-Khalil with a metal gate and closed off the southern entrances to Sa’ir town following evening clashes with Palestinians.

Meanwhile Israeli patrols closed the access roads to Qalqilya’s eastern town of Azzoun and raked through the area sparking panic among civilians.

The closure came shortly after hordes of Israeli settlers flocked to the area and hurled rocks at Palestinian cars.

Dozens of settlers were also spotted on bypass roads leading to al-Nabi Ilyes village Azbet al-Tabib Azzoun Kafr Lakef and al-Funduk among other villages.
