A round of violent clashes burst out afternoon Tuesday shortly after Israeli occupation forces broke into Qalqilya’s eastern town of Gios in the northern West Bank.
Reporting from Qalqilya a PIC news correspondent said a flock of Israeli military troops rolled into Gios and cordoned off its main access road near the apartheid wall.
Palestinian anti-occupation youth showed up at the scene and responded to the assault by hurling stones at the heavily-armed occupation patrols.
The Israeli forces unleashed barrages of teargas canisters toward the Palestinian protesters and cracked down on civilians’ free movement inside and out.
