The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Monday morning stormed al-Shuyukh town in al-Khalil province.
Eyewitnesses told the PIC reporter that six Israeli military vehicles accompanied by a car belonging to the so-called Civil Administration broke into a neighborhood to the southeast of the town conducted some examinations and took several photos of the area.
More than 20 years ago the Israeli occupation authorities issued a decision to confiscate dozens of dunums of land privately-owned by Palestinian families living in al-Shuyukh in preparation for the establishment of a new settlement outpost but the residents’ protests prevented the implementation of the Israeli plan.
In another context the IOF during the morning hours set up a military checkpoint in al-Hawawir area to the north of Halhul city in al-Khalil province stopped Palestinian vehicles and scrutinized Palestinians’ IDs causing a suffocating traffic jam.
