Israeli municipal ambulances on Thursday morning demolished a Palestinian-owned house in Lod city in central Israel (the 1948 occupied lands).
According to local sources a large number of Israeli police forces stormed and cordoned off the area where the house was located before bulldozers embarked on knocking it down.
The Israeli municipal authorities had already issued demolition orders against dozens of Palestinian homes in Lod after refusing to license them with no regard for the local residents’ need to have new homes or rebuild dilapidated ones.
In Israel it is not easy for the Palestinians to obtain building permits a situation that forces them to expand or build homes and structures without permits.
