The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) physically assaulted a number of Palestinian citizens on Saturday morning at the entrance to al-Shuhada Street in the Old City of al-Khalil.
According to local sources soldiers at the military checkpoint leading to al-Shuhada Street brutalized some citizens and severely beat them as they were trying to prevent the detention of a local young man.
There was no information about the reason for detaining the young man.
