The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Wednesday kidnaped Palestinian journalist Bushra Attaweel an ex-detainee from her home in al-Bireh city.
She is the daughter of senior Hamas official Jamal Attaweel who was released a week ago after spending 22 months in administrative detention. Her father was the mayor of Bireh city.
According to local sources the IOF broke into and ransacked the house of Jamal Attaweel in Umm ash-Sharayet neighborhood in the city before rounding up his daughter Bushra.
Bushra is one of the ex-detainees who have been rallying for over a month at the Martyr Yasser Arafat junction in Ramallah in protest at the Palestinian Authority’s failure to pay their monthly stipends.
She is a noted activist and the spokesperson for Aneen al-Qaid organization and was one of the detainees who were released as part of the 2011 prisoner swap deal between the Palestinian resistance in Gaza and the Israeli occupation state.
She was released in June 2018 after spending several months in administrative detention with no trial or indictment.
