Ismail Haneyya head of Hamas’s political bureau will leave Cairo on a foreign tour to several countries a Palestinian source reported on Saturday.
The same source said that Haneyya is supposed to arrive in Turkey early Sunday.
The Hamas leader is set to attend a meeting ahead of the tour with the Secretary General of the Islamic Jihad Movement Ziyad al-Nakhala and Egypt’s Chief of Intelligence Abbas Kamel in the Egyptian capital.
As part of his foreign tour Haneyya will participate in the Kuala Lumpur Forum which will be held in the Malaysian capital on the sidelines of an Islamic Summit scheduled for 18-21 December. The summit will be led by the presidents of 5 countries: Malaysia Turkey Pakistan Indonesia and Qatar.
Haneyya’s tour which is the first of its kind since he was elected the head of Hamas’s political bureau is expected to last for 6 months.
