Israel’s Jerusalem municipality on Tuesday knocked down a Palestinian home in Qalandiya town north of Jerusalem City without prior notice.
Local sources said that Israeli municipality crews accompanied by bulldozers stormed the industrial area in Qalandiya forced the Palestinian citizen Mohammed al-Bazayan and his 13-member family out of their home and started razing it.
The Israeli authorities later claimed the house was demolished for being built without license although the al-Bazyan family were forced to pay a 360000 NIS fine before for the same reason.
Since the beginning of 2019 Israeli occupation authorities have demolished 140 Palestinian buildings in Jerusalem according to B’Tselem.
