Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Sunday arrested 9 Palestinian workmen in Tulkarem and Jenin in the Wes Bank.
Local sources told the PIC reporter that the IOF arrested 7 Palestinian citizens during their presence near a separation wall gate in Qaffin town north of Tulkarem City and transferred them to an undeclared destination.
Meanwhile two Palestinian young men were arrested in Jaba’ town in Jenin while they were attempting to enter the 1948 Occupied Palestinian Territories for work through a gate in the separation wall.
A large number of Palestinian citizens from the West Bank are forced to work in the 1948 Occupied Palestinian Territories without having Israeli permits due the lack of job opportunities Israeli restrictions and high unemployment rate.
Since the beginning of 2019 dozens of West Bank workers have been shot or arrested by the IOF while heading to their workplaces on the other side of the separation wall.
