Sunday 27-October-2019

Two Palestinian citizens were injured on Saturday when the Israeli occupation forces violently quelled a peaceful protest in the northern Jordan Valley.

Eyewitnesses said that the Israeli forces fired tear gas canisters and stun grenades at the protesters injuring two of them who were treated in the field.

They added that the Israeli soldiers detained a number of journalists in an attempt to prevent them from covering the protest.

The National Committee Against the Wall and Settlement has called for a demonstration in the Jordan Valley on Saturday in protest at the establishment of a new settler outpost in al-Hamma area.

The Palestinian citizens living in the targeted area are constantly attacked by Israeli settlers who cut down their trees bulldoze their lands and steal their crops.
