Senior Hamas official Ra’fat Murra has strongly denounced the Palestinian Authority’s decision to block dozens of Palestinian websites describing the step as “a crime against opinion and media freedoms.”
Murra who is responsible for Hamas’s media affairs said the decision was “an attempt to silence the Palestinians and suppress media professionals and a measure that only serves the Israeli occupation.”
“The voice of the Palestinian media and people will stay clear and strong upholding the land the rights and the resistance and defending the national constants and the Palestinian’s right to liberation and return” the Hamas official said.
The Palestinian Authority on Monday revealed that its magistrate court in Ramallah had approved on October 17 its request to block 59 Palestinian and Arab websites.
