The Palestinian Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs has strongly denounced the Israeli military decision to close the Ibrahimi Mosque in al-Khalil city on Sunday and next Wednesday in order to allow Jewish settlers to hold celebrations inside it.
In a statement the Ministry also pointed out that the Israeli occupation forces intend to storm the Mosque on Tuesday from 02:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
Deputy minister of religious affairs Husam Abul-Rab stressed the need to immediately move to save the Ibrahimi Mosque and put an end to all Israeli violations against it.
Abul-Rab described the Israeli occupation’s persistence in desecrating the Ibrahimi Mosque as aggression against a purely Islamic place and the entire Muslim nation.
