The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Tuesday closed the Ibrahimi Mosque to Muslim worshipers for two days at the pretext of securing the place for Jewish settlers during their celebrations at the holy site.
Sheikh Mohamed Hussein Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and Palestine has strongly denounced the Israeli measure and described it as “aggression and a terrible crime.”
Sheikh Hussein said that all the heavenly religious forbid any violation of the sanctity of other holy sites and affirm their inviolability stressing that the Ibrahimi Mosque is an Islamic holy place that must not be defiled by Jewish settlers for rituals.
