The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Monday kidnaped at least 13 Palestinian citizens during campaigns in the West Bank and Jerusalem. Two others from Gaza were taken prisoners during their attempt to cross into Israel.
A statement released by the Israeli army claimed that six of those detainees were wanted for their involvement in activities against Israel and its citzens.
According to local sources in the West Bank the IOF kidnaped an ex-detainee called Abdullah Shatat from his home in Biddya town west of Salfit.
In Tulkarem three young men were kidnaped by the IOF from their homes in different areas according to the Palestinian Prisoner Society.
In Jerusalem the Israeli police kidnaped seven Palestinians from their homes in Issawiya district.
The seven detainees were identified as Nagham Aliyan (a 16-year-old girl) Mu’tasim Obeid (child) Yousef Aliyan Majed Dari Mohamed Aliyan Anas Aliyan and Fadi Obeid.
The Israeli police started about two months an arrest campaign in Issawiya targeting dozens of Palestinian young people and children.
In a separate incident a spokesperson for the Israeli army claimed that forces near the border fence in the south of Gaza arrested two Palestinians as they were trying to cross into Israel on Monday morning.
