16 West Bankers kidnaped in overnight IOF campaigns

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) last night and at dawn Thursday kidnaped 16 Palestinian citizens during campaigns in different West Bank areas.

A statement released by the IOF said that 16 Palestinians were arrested overnight in the West Bank.

The IOF claimed it found and confiscated an M16 rifle a handgun and three homemade explosive devices during campaigns in Nablus and Qalqilya.

The IOF also confiscated equipment from two turneries in Nablus on allegations they were used in the production of weapons.

According to local sources the IOF kidnaped Palestinian lawmaker Azzam Salhab from his home in al-Khalil city.

The IOF also stormed Deir Sammit village southwest of al-Khalil and ransacked the house of ex-detainee Ismail al-Harroub with no reported arrests.

Three citizens were also taken prisoners during IOF campaigns in Surif town (al-Khalil) and Balata refugee camp in Nablus amid clashes in the latter.

The IOF also raided the house of ex-detainee Qutaiba Azem in Sebastia town northwest of Nablus and confiscated metalwork equipment belonging to ex-detainees Mohamed Sharai’ah during a raid on his home near Salem junction in the east of Nablus.

In Jenin four citizens were reportedly kidnaped from their homes in different areas.
