Five Israeli soldiers were injured when a speeding car ran them over on Saturday night at a military checkpoint near Hizma town northeast of Occupied Jerusalem.
According to the Hebrew media the soldiers suffered different injuries one of them seriously.
Immediately following the incident the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) intensified its presence in the area and launched a manhunt for the driver.
The IOF also closed all entrances to Hizma town and spread through its streets.
Later the IOF announced it arrested a Palestinian at dawn Sunday on suspicion of being the driver who carried out the car-ramming attack near Hizma town. The identity of the detainee is still unknown.
